Forest Trail academy offers accredited, online elementary school for grades 1-5.

Forest Trail Academy courses can be taken by students who wishes to earn elementary school grades while preparing for middle school.

Through Forest Trail Academy, students have access to a wider range of coursework, more flexibility in scheduling, the opportunity to develop capacities as independent learners, and with increased time and opportunity to achieve because learning online is neither time nor place dependent.

We provide two (2) options for the online elementary school.

1. Prescriptive Learning K-8 is an easy-to-use, self-paced learning system designed to help a wide range of students gain proficiency in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Hundreds of Web-based lessons-spanning six skill levels and ranging from grades K to college entry-challenge beginning to advanced learners. This system meets the requirement set forth by No Child Left Behind to improve student achievement. The program also aligns technology with state academic standards, to provide both remediation and instruction. Whether students are struggling with a subject area, in need of additional academic challenges, preparing for proficiency exams, reinforcing concepts, or strengthening workplace skills, the results are the same-an increase, sometimes dramatic, in test scores. This is program is also ideal for at-risk or learning disabled students. The tuition for this program is only $65 per month or $675 paid in full.

2. Similarities with traditional middle school are that our online classes include a teacher, lessons, homework, class discussions, and tests. The main difference is that the activities occur over the Internet at a time that is convenient for students. Forest Trail Academy offers the hallmarks of truly effective traditional education programs - quality teachers, quality curriculum, and frequent student-teacher interaction. All courses are taught by certified teachers and meet national and state curriculum standards.Tuition for this program is $95 per month or $995 in full.
