Forest Trail Academy, LLC has taken over the operation and management of Virtual High School of Excellence, (VHSE) and is moving in a new direction. We are here to improve and build upon what is already established. Our number one priority is students. We will not compromise the current Program or integrity of our School or any of our students.

While the full 9th - 12th grade programs are still the best option both academically and financially for most families, we recognize that there may be good reasons why a student may wish to take only a course or two with Forest Trail Academy. We are pleased to offer our courses on an individual basis both online and independent study distance learning. Both programs offer grading, report card, and transcript services. Virtual High School of Excellence is simply making these courses available individually outside of the full-time program. Visit our Course Catalog to view all available courses. |

The tuition for individual course enrollments is $350.00 per course. However, tuition covers enrollment, textbooks, tests, handbook, grading, report cards, and initial transcript. If you are enrolled in the independent study distance learning course, standard shipping methods inside the continental U.S. are included. Postage costs for mailing course work back to Forest Trail Academy is the responsibility of the student.

Students taking individual courses with Forest Trail Academy who are not enrolled in our full-time, or diploma program are not eligible to graduate from Forest Trail Acadmey or receive a high school diploma. Students who transfer into the full-time program for at least the twelfth grade (or a minimum of 3 credits) and meet the same criteria as other transfer students can be awarded a High School diploma. Credits awarded for individual courses are also transferable to our full-time program. |
| Students taking individual courses are not eligible to request Certificates of Enrollment.

Students enrolled in our individual courses can concurrently enroll with another public/private school with approval and signature of the public school principal, required on the enrollment form. Students taking three or fewer classes at their local school qualify for dual enrollment with Forest Trail Academy. Students taking four or more courses in one school are considered full-time and are ineligible to enroll with another school unless prior approval is granted by the public/private school.

Part Time Enrollment
A student who is enrolled in another public/private school or correspondence program may enroll part-time with Forest Trail Academy by taking fewer than 4 courses.
